Cover for hole after taking out wall-mounted cabinet?

Recessed cabinet removals leave deep holes that patching never quite hides. A surface-mount cover that bridges the opening is faster and looks pro. I choose reinforced plastic ones that handle larger sizes without flexing, with a smooth paintable surface. The model I used has rounded edges for a softer appearance and a recessed latch that disappears under paint. After priming, painting cabinet color, and adding a light glaze it blends with the surrounding cabinets nicely. I used a sturdy wall hole cover (16×24) and it covered the cabinet void seamlessly. Caulk edges and touch up for a factory look.
