Cleaning pet hair from leather car steering wheel?

Fine dog hair sticks to my leather steering wheel from sweaty hands and static. Wipes just smear it and I don’t want to use harsh cleaners on leather. Any safe, effective method?

Leather steering wheels show hair clearly and need gentle care. I wipe lightly with a barely-damp leather cleaner cloth first to loosen, then pick up the rest. Adhesive tools are great here because they don’t add moisture. Having lint rollers for pet hair extra sticky in the center console lets me do quick rolls around the wheel and seams—it grabs hair cleanly without scratching or drying the leather. Finish with a tiny bit of conditioner and it stays smooth.
